The Governing Board is the policy making body of the school district working within the framework of State and Federal Laws. The Governing Board has the authority and responsibilities for providing an educational program for students living within the district. Some general responsibilities of the board include:

• Determining the long range direction of the school district
• Establish policies which direct the programs
• Establish policies governing the use of school property
• Calling elections on bond proposal and other issues
• Adopting the annual school budget
